Solo

Josten Myburgh’s saxophone solos approach melodic invention through the multiphonic and microtonal possibilities of the instrument. His playing is folklike, ocasionally recalling ambient electronic music or noise. Since 2018 he has been exploring playing the instrument outdoors, enmeshing it with the sounds and acoustics of the environment.
